FORMER MUTUMBI EMPLOYEES DEMANDS BENEFITS

Former MUTUMBI farm Block employees in Choma district of Southern Province have allegedly not been paid their terminal benefits after having worked for close to 5 years.
ALUSHA MUCHIMBA, a Former Mutumbi farm employee narrated to Choma Maanu NEWS in an exclusive interview that after he and his workmates decided to part ways with the farm management, he did not receive any payment from Mutumbi Farm.
According to him, he worked for Mutumbi farm for four years ten months and later decided to part ways with the farm but he was denied his terminal benefits from his employer.
He said he has been to the labor office for help but to no avail.
When contacted for a comment, MUTUMBI farm management said, “the complainant has been to the labor office, and they discussed with him regarding the matter”.
The management which did not give a clear picture on their stance requested Mr. Mutumbi to go to the labor office for help as the law stipulates.
Mr. MUCHIMBA has since called for the relevant authorities intervention into the matter.
