Southern water and sanitation company has today connected two new pumps in Siavonga district.
This is to mitigate water challenges in Siavonga district.
Siavonga southern water and sanitation company manager Francis Siatwinda has expressed happiness that Siavonga residents will be receiving water with no problem.
Adding that what is remaining is to connect old pipes lines to new ones.
And Siavonga town council chairperson Given Kwapu has thanked the Climate Resilience Infrastructure development facility (CRIDF) coming to the aid of SWASCO by funding the water project to reduce water challenges residents of Siavonga have being facing for a long time.
Mr. Kwapu disclosed that the new pumps that have been in stored are dedicated to supply water in Siavonga.
The council Chairperson also commended Zambian Electricity Supply Cooperation (ZESCO) for they quick response to connect the transformer with electricity.
Mr. Kwapu added that what has remained is the official held over to SWASCO soon.
