Siavonga Member of parliament Darius Mulunda and the civic leaders yesterday met the youths of Siavonga at an indaba meeting which was held at Siavonga bread of life church.
Honorable Mulunda raveled that youths should take advantage of the removal of tuition fees which will start next year.
The honorable further said when one is educated it’s very easy to interpret issues and understand them.
Speaking at the same event Siavonga council chairperson Given Kwapu disclosed that Siavonga district is blessed with natural resources which youths have to make use of and earn a living.
Mr. Kwapu said with a lot of construction going on in the district youths should form cooperatives which will be dealing flat stones and be employers of other youths as a way of job creation. Instead of waiting for government.
Adding that flat stones are marketable if value has been added.
He further stated that Siavonga should be the main supplier for flat stones to other parts of the country.
And Kariba ward councilor Phallen Kachelo said government has created a new ministry small medium and enterprise for entrepreneurs and youths are not left out.
